Conrad Lobby Lounge Restaurant, Singapore

During check-in at Conrad Centennial Hotel for our staycation, my husband and I were informed that our room was not ready yet, so we decided to have our lunch at the Lobby Lounge while we waited. There were limited seats available as it is a relatively small space (on top of the safe-distancing measures), so we almost couldn’t get a table since we didn’t have a prior reservation. Thankfully, they managed to squeeze us in-between two reservation timeslots but that meant we needed to rush a little. Lesson learnt, make a prior reservation. My husband ordered a plate (or rather, a boat) of Hokkien mee while I had a salmon sandwich. The Hokkien mee tasted quite decent – the chilli was savoury and flavourful, and the seafood elements were cooked just right such that they weren’t chewy. My salmon sandwich wasn’t too bad either, with the richness of the salmon and cream cheese nicely balanced with the sourness of the capers and pickled onions. Great start to our dining credit spending that was included in our staycation package!
