Singapore City Walk: Experience the Diverse Charms of the City
🇸🇬 During my city walk in Singapore, I deeply experienced the diverse charms of this city.
🕌 The solemnity and splendor of the Sultan Mosque made me feel the rich religious atmosphere and historical heritage. The golden dome shone brilliantly under the sun, as if telling ancient stories.
🏞️ Then, I strolled to Merlion Park, where the iconic Merlion statue left me in awe. It is both a symbol of Singapore and a popular spot for tourists to take photos. Standing in front of the statue, I felt as if I could hear the heartbeat of Singapore and sense the vitality and prosperity of the city.
🥘 At lunchtime, I went to East Asia Restaurant to taste authentic Singaporean cuisine. The crispy and delicious kaya toast and the tasty half-boiled eggs left me with endless aftertastes.
🛍️ Finally, I visited VivoCity, a modern shopping center that made me feel the fashion and prosperity of Singapore. The dazzling array of goods and the bustling shopping atmosphere made me reluctant to leave.

Best Restaurant in Downtown Singapore
#travellerswonderland #100waysoftravel #eatlikealocal
This is one of the best restaurants in Downtown Singapore. This is The Spot and the food served here is more like asian fusion. I have been here many times and the ambience is cozy and perfect for birthday celebration.
Food is delicious at the Spot. A must order is the appetiser cheese bread. It may not be the cheapest - 3 pieces for $12 but these chewy goodness is really super good. I will order 1 plate per pax every time I am here. For mains, get their signature pan fried golden green curry snapper, iberico pork loin. Or if you have higher budget, go for the signature boston lobster aglio olio which never disappoint!
If you indicate birthday celebration while making a reservation, the sweet staff may help prepare a complimentary chocolate cake for the occasion. The service here is great and hence I recommend the spot if you are in downtown Singapore!

Craze Kitchen with Crazy delicious food
#travellerswonderland #eatlikealocal #halal #100waysoftravel
Craze Kitchen is a cozy heartland cafe that whips up delicious pasta, steaks and burgers. It is halal certified and there are no gst and service charge!
My favourites will definitely be their signature chicken wings ($5 for 2 pcs) and fries which usually come with the main courses. Else you can order the truffle fries as an add-on which smells really divine.
The tender wagyu steak is $49 and there is currently an ongoing promotion of 1-for-1! Super worth it! Pasta is also really affordable at $11-13 for chicken options. Other options include fish, lamb and beef.
They only accept cash, NETs, Paynow, CDC vouchers payment which is one of the down side.

🇸🇬 Shopping in Changi Airport
I have not share much about this travel hacks but you can read it from me right now. This is Tiger Den, a beer place and restaurant operating 24 hours at Changi Airport Terminal 4. It is inside the transit area so you will have to have a boarding pass to enter immigration. In Changi airport, it is alright to check in 24 hours before flight and you can come here to shop at the duty free shopping. Tiger Den also sell merchandise and you can collect them because you cannot really find their merchandise outside. They have tshirts and lanyards and many other seasonal collectibles. If you are using Priority Pass then you can use it at Tiger Den for shopping too.

I had an unforgettable birthday celebration
My experience at Nox Singapore , where dining in complete darkness transformed my perception of food and atmosphere. The hospitality was exceptional, with Halimi, our host, guiding us through the evening. His inspiring story of how he became blind and maintained his strength added a profound layer to the experience. The combination of excellent service and Halimi's resilience made it one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to delve into a unique culinary journey.

Singapore Fireworks Spectacular!
We had an amazing experience watching the fireworks from the Helix Bridge! The architecture itself is fascinating, and it gets illuminated with colorful lights at night. We arrived around 5:00 PM on National Day, and although the crowd was lined up, there was still standing room. Eventually, they closed the bridge around 6:30 PM, preventing more people from entering. Because of this, it can get very crowded, so make sure to arrive early to secure your spot! The view of Marina Bay and the fireworks was incredible, and the Helix Bridge is the perfect vantage point. We couldn't believe it was free. However, the entire area is not fully covered, so it won't provide the necessary shelter if it rains. We visited the bridge again during the day to observe the contrast between day and night, and it was still very much worth a short stop.
Five days and four nights to explore Singapore (Part 2).
Colorful Singapore, I love it so much! Even Universal Studios Singapore is a colorful world, it's so photogenic🌈 And the cute Minions will meet everyone soon, it must be more fun!
This time in Singapore, I also experienced the unique "Lambretta Sidecar" in Lion City! The same Lambretta Sidecar as Jackson Wang, the boss is super nice! 🛵
Have you ever enjoyed the scenery of Singapore on the Ferris wheel? Not only can you learn about the history of Singapore, but also see the whole view of Singapore in the air, it's so great~🎡
Have a special dinner at Synthesis in the evening, the food and wine here are so great! Creative and delicious, this is a modern bar and restaurant, blending Asian flavors and new flavors, the cocktails in the restaurant are inspired by Chinese medicine, each one has a story🍹
You must experience the nightlife in Singapore, the bar Jigger&Pony ranked third in Asia is so great! Have a happy night, everyone "wishes to Lion City" oh🍸
Beautiful Sunset at Kallang Stadium
#bestsunset #100waysoftravel #sunset #singapore
I enjoyed workout outside Kallang wave mall, and the sunset view was truly spectacular. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky was painted with vibrant shades of orange and purple, creating a stunning backdrop for my exercise routine.
One of the highlights of the area is the giant chess set nearby, which adds a fun and unique touch to the environment. Watching players strategize against the backdrop of the sunset was both entertaining and inspiring.
The open space of the stadium provided an amazing vantage point, making it easy to appreciate the beauty of the sunset while staying active. The lively atmosphere, with other fitness enthusiasts and the giant chess players, made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a great workout spot with breathtaking views and a bit of playful competition, Kallang Stadium is definitely the place to be!

Punggol, located in the northeastern part of Singapore, is an area rich in history and culture. Over time, Punggol has undergone multiple developments and transformations, evolving from a traditional fishing village into a modern residential area. Today, Punggol retains some historical relics while also boasting many modern facilities and attractions, making it a popular leisure spot for both Singapore residents and tourists.

Chinatown's Heritage Buildings and Newer Developments
#cityscape
Chinatown’s cityscape is a fascinating blend of old and new, showcasing the history and culture of Singapore’s Chinese community. One of the most striking features is the colorful shophouses that line the streets. These narrow buildings, usually two or three stories high, often have intricate details on their facades like carved wooden doors, shuttered windows, and beautiful tiles. Many of these shophouses have been restored, keeping their original charm while being adapted for modern use, like cafes, boutiques, or homes.
Despite the modernization in Singapore, Chinatown has managed to retain this unique mix of heritage buildings and newer developments, making it an interesting place to explore. Walking around, you’ll see how old-world charm sits side by side with sleek, modern high-rises, which reflects the balance of tradition and progress in the city.

This Singapore hotel embodies the essence of "hiding in plain sight".
"Hiding in the wild, hiding in plain sight" - a leisurely and chic life does not necessarily have to be experienced in the forest and wild, a higher level of hidden life is in the bustling city. This phrase is used to describe the livable life of The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore, which is more appropriate.
Located in the core area of Singapore, composed of Singapore's landmark buildings, the Capitol Building and Stamford Building, the colonial period classic decorative art and Victorian aesthetic style of The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore is often the first stop for check-in.
When lines, geometric shapes meet the early 20th century decorative style, the aesthetic journey between history and modernity begins.
Step into the exquisite and gorgeous Victorian-style lobby, you will be greeted by the warm smiles of the Kempinski Red Lady, the doorman who has become a symbol of Singapore, and a glass of Sparkling Wine to welcome you.
Exquisite and elegant is the definition of the 155 guest rooms and suites of The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore. The thoughtful design is reflected in the details, the spacious and bright tall space shows a more livable and comfortable life, allowing you to instantly enter the "home" state.

European Architectural Influence in City Hall Singapore
#europeanarchitecture
The National Gallery Singapore is a great example of European architecture. It’s housed in two historic buildings: the old Supreme Court and City Hall. Both of these buildings have a lot of neoclassical style, which comes from Europe. When these buildings were turned into the National Gallery, they were carefully restored. They even added a modern glass-and-steel roof that connects the two buildings while keeping their historical charm.
Another example is St. Andrew’s Cathedral, which was built in the Gothic Revival style, this cathedral features pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and flying buttresses. It was completed in 1861 and remains a significant landmark.

Watching the Wildlife Performances at Singapore Zoo
#outdooradventures
We had an amazing day out at the Singapore Zoo, and one of the highlights was definitely watching the animal performances. The whole place has such a natural, open vibe, which makes you feel like you're walking through a lush rainforest.
After exploring some of the enclosures, I headed over to the amphitheater for the “Splash Safari” show, which features sea lions. It was so fun watching them swim, jump, and play tricks with the trainers. The sea lion was super interactive with the crowd, even catching a ball mid-air! You could tell it loved showing off.
Later on, I caught the “Animal Friends” show, which featured domestic animals. They performed cute tricks, and it was really a family-friendly experience, especially for the kids who got to participate. Watching these animals work together with their trainers showed how much love and care goes into the process.
The overall atmosphere was relaxed and entertaining. There’s something magical about being surrounded by nature, learning about animals, and seeing them up close. Whether you're there with family or friends, catching one of these performances is a must when visiting the zoo!

Sukiya Gyudon at Marina Square
#100WaysOfTravel
I recently visited Sukiya at Marina Square and had a pretty satisfying meal. The place is known for its gyudon, a Japanese rice bowl that’s both simple and comforting. What I liked about Sukiya is that they have different portion sizes, so you can go for a smaller bowl if you’re not too hungry, or get a large one if you’re really starving. They also offer toppings like cheese or kimchi, which adds a fun twist to the traditional gyudon.
The prices were pretty reasonable too, which makes it a good spot for a quick and affordable meal in the city. The service was fast, and the atmosphere was casual, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. If you’re in the Marina Square area and craving some Japanese comfort food, Sukiya’s gyudon is definitely worth a try!

Everywhere you go, you'll find delicious grilled satay skewers.
Unlike many popular hawker centers, Satay Street does not prohibit hawking. As you enter their territory, staff from each stall will approach you. Personally, I think that when every stall makes the same thing, there isn't much difference in quality or taste. We chose stalls #7&8, and they helped us find a table. I believe the stalls reserve seats themselves, so if you move napkins or umbrellas on a table, you might get scolded by the staff or locals, or both. If you have a peanut allergy, this place is not for you. The food, tables, and streets are covered in peanut sauce... stay away. The satay stalls only start operating at 7:00 PM. You should aim to arrive around 6:45 PM to start ordering satay. Going earlier or later can help you avoid long lines. Buy beer from the stalls inside the hawker center. Bring your own napkins and/or wet wipes, as they do not provide any.
Wild Encounters at Singapore Zoo
#outdooradventures
We had an amazing outdoor adventure at the Singapore Zoo the other day! It’s such a cool place to explore, especially if you’re into wildlife. One of the highlights was watching the elephants. They were so huge and gentle. Next, I spotted some zebras hanging out in the grass. Their black and white stripes look even more stunning in real life! They were just chilling and grazing.
But the proboscis monkeys were probably the funniest animals I saw. Their long noses and pot bellies make them look so unique! They were swinging from tree to tree with so much energy. It’s crazy how agile they are despite their size.
Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with animals and fresh air. The Singapore Zoo really makes you feel like you’re in the wild.

An Exciting Day Out at Bird Paradise
#outdooradventures
We went to Bird Paradise for an outdoor adventure, and it was a blast! The place is huge, and you really get to see all kinds of birds up close. There are these massive walk-in aviaries where the birds just fly freely around you, which is super cool. There was a spot where you could feed the parrots.
One of the highlights was the waterfall aviary—so relaxing with the sound of water and birds all around. There were plenty of areas to rest and grab snacks, so we didn't feel rushed. Plus, the weather was perfect for a nice walk around the park.
The whole experience felt like a fun mix of learning and adventure, perfect for a day out in nature with friends or family!
