Joyful cafe discoveries at Joo Chiat

#hiddengems While Joo Chiat is iconic in Singapore for its Peranakan architecture and colourful murals, there are hidden cafes waiting to be discovered such as ToMo, and Kōhī Roastery & Coffee Bar. These cafes tend to close by 6pm. Hence, do go early for breakfast or tea time. We visited ToMo, which means ‘friends’ in Japanese and indeed it provides a minimalistic ambience to chill out with friends over coffee. Try its signature drinks, especially those with black sesame for a different experience. The address is 189 Joo Chiat Road, Singapore 427460 and there’s a public bus that plies through the area.
