🇸🇬 Fort Siloso @ Sentosa Island

Do you know that Fort Siloso in Sentosa Island is one of the latest additions to national monuments of Singapore? It was gazetted a National Monument on 15 February 2022. Fort Siloso has a rich history dating back to the late 19th century when it was built in the 1880s as part of the British colonial defense strategy for Singapore. During World War II, Fort Siloso played a crucial role in the defense of Singapore against Japanese forces. It remained in use by the British military until Singapore gained independence in 1965. The most convenient way to reach there is by taking shuttle bus A and alight at Siloso Point. We first took the lift up to Fort Siloso Skywalk. The fort is located at the end of the skywalk. Exploring the various tunnels was quite interesting!
