#singaporetrip Alvin is easily one the most passionate and enthusiastic people when it comes to all things peranakan/ baba nonya. The tour around his house will be one that I will never forget. Of all the items there the beaded shoes are easily my favourite exihibit. 2 stories filled with various antiques,some of which I've never seen before! Even Singapore's very own Peranakan museum does not feature most of the collection found in Alvin's place! Do take the time to listen and ask questions as Alvin's shares about the history and significance behind the pieces in his home. On hindsight, I should have brought my video camera to record my session there.
