The interesting name originated because there was a lack of water resources in the past, and since the area was populated by Chinese, they used ox carts to transport water. Over time, the name 'Niu Che Shui' stuck! This place is a historic Chinese enclave in Singapore and records the history of the Chinese community living and thriving here! ♦️Chinatown covers a large area, from Outram Park MRT Station to Chinatown MRT Station, you can see the word 'Chinatown' all along the way. Chinese restaurants are in the majority, after all, there are quite a number of Chinese in Singapore! 🌟Attraction Features: ♦️There is a collection of Chinese restaurants here, including hot pot 🍲, barbecue 🍡🍢, ramen shops 🍜, and more, there's always something you'll like! Plus, the staff speak Chinese, which is awesome! I chose a coffee shop, ordered a coffee ☕️ and cake 🍰, and sat outside to watch the people and scenery here, it's really very leisurely~ A different kind of relaxed pace from the hustle and bustle back home! ♦️Continue to stroll around the graffiti walls here! The colorful graffiti walls, along with the local Chinese iconic buildings, are very Southeast Asian in flavor, and also popular spots for social media check-ins! Pearl's Hill and Southeast Asian buildings are great for taking photos! ♦️There are many local Chinese stalls here, you can see a lot of unique shops, I recommend going to the one-dollar shop, where you can buy some trinkets to bring back home as gifts for friends. You can also see many foreigners shopping in the stores, fitting in perfectly with the scenery here! In the end, the 'Been Here' sign is really quite fitting 😂
