Walk along Bugis lanes

If you take a walk along the streets of Bugis, you will come across many restaurants and bars nestled in traditional heritage shophouses! We stumbled upon this quaint Japanese izakaya bar and restaurant that had a cosy ambience because of the pretty fairy lights inside. There were both indoor and outdoor seats, we chose to sit inside. They serve the Japanese classic dishes like katsu don and ramen, but as I was craving garlic that day, I had the garlic fried rice and scallops with minced garlic. Everything tasted really good! Plus the portions were filling and satisfying. A not-so-good point would be that it is quite a walk from the nearest train station so it isn’t as convenient.
