I traveled from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap on a $20 7-hour bus ride for 1 night, specifically chosen for this journey. I decided to take a budget-friendly tour, costing just €15, which ended up lasting around 9 hours. The guide, while knowledgeable, had a heavy accent, and I couldn’t catch every word he said, but despite that, the experience was still completely worth it. The sights were absolutely breathtaking, and the grandeur of the place left me in awe. If I had to recommend something, it would definitely be to invest in a good, clear tour guide for a more enriching experience. One of the highlights for me was visiting the temple early in the morning to watch the sunset — it was an unforgettable moment.
