This summer in Nakhon Si Thammarat...Wat Chedi (Ai Khai), Sichon

#Where to travel this summer Let's continue with the summer trip in Nakhon Si Thammarat. After stopping by Khanom Beach for a night, the next day we stopped by the seaside viewpoint on Khanom-Sichon Road along the seaside...and then it was time for our next destination, Ai Khai Wat Chedi in Sichon, Nakhon Si Thammarat. Even though we had passed the peak of the Songkran festival, on April 15, amidst the scorching heat, we drove along the seaside for a while and entered Sichon District. At the intersection to turn into Wat Chedi (Ai Khai), there was a long traffic jam at the red light. When we arrived at the temple, there were a lot of cars and people, but there was still enough parking space. We took the kids to pay homage to the Phra That on the Busabok first, then went to ask for good fortune from Ai Khai. We made merit for the temple and put it in the box according to our financial ability and faith, and then we built a sand pagoda. We entered the tents selling food that looked like a small market or walking street. Wat Chedi was very crowded. Along the way to the temple, there were shops selling firecrackers to fulfill vows and chicken statues lined up everywhere. People who come to the Chedi temple "ask and receive" Some people get their wishes fulfilled from gambling or starting a business and come to make merit. It is a belief, it depends on how you look at it, but I think it stimulates the local economy very well, especially for tourists who are into spirituality. If you come to Nakhon Si Thammarat, how can you miss this temple? Before going back, we bought one or two lottery tickets each to have a chance to play. Tomorrow, April 16th, the lottery will be drawn. When I left the Chedi temple, I immediately set the coordinates to Khiriwong, Lansaka District. After supporting the Isaan restaurant in Khiriwong until we were full, we went to the water, played in the canal in the middle of Khiriwong village until we were cooled down, then went to Nakhon Si Thammarat to stay here for another night.
