Hong Kong Museum of Tea Ware: Savor Tea and History

Located at 10 Cotton Tree Drive in Hong Kong Park, Central, the Hong Kong Museum of Tea Ware is a branch of the Hong Kong Museum of Art. It specializes in showcasing Chinese tea culture and tea ware artistry, and admission is free. Exhibition Highlights The museum is divided into two main sections: "Yixing Pottery" and "Chinese Tea Culture." Upstairs, the "Yixing Pottery" section features 123 pieces of Yixing clay pottery, including various teapots and teacups. Visitors can admire masterpieces such as Yuan Dynasty Yue kiln tea bowls with brown spots and Yixing teapots from the late Ming Dynasty to modern times, showcasing the craftsmanship and achievements of Yixing pottery artisans throughout history. Downstairs, the "Chinese Tea Culture" section uses historical documents to introduce the history of tea planting, processing, and drinking in China, exploring tea-drinking methods and habits. A slideshow on "Kung Fu Tea" is also presented. Additionally, the new wing, "K.S. Lo Gallery," displays precious ceramics and seals donated by the K.S. Lo Foundation. Opening Hours Monday and Wednesday to Sunday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Closed on Tuesdays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, and the first three days of the Lunar New Year.
