It is obvious that there are very few visitors to 24 Histories Academy. I spent more than an hour at 24 Histories Academy and only saw a few people, while there were a lot of people at Gankeng Ancient Town. The reason is simple: the ticket price is CNY 60, and the place is not big, so there are basically no people, which I like! 24 Histories Academy originated from the "Three Gorges Project of the Cultural World" - "The 24 Histories with Modern Annotations". Its construction marks the successful implementation of the national IP of "24 Histories". It is not only a cultural landmark but also a large cultural and tourism complex integrating reading, exhibitions, elegant gatherings, parent-child activities, and tea parties. 24 Histories Academy uses the aesthetics of oriental garden architecture as a spatial creation technique, combining the three main functions of a specialty bookstore, exhibition, and reading space. The academy is composed of 8 independent courtyards, including the 24 Histories Bookstore, Dongpo Study, Dufu Study, Libai Study, Lanting Study, Yueyang Tower, Mingyue Tower, and Little Cool Hat Picture Book House. The buildings and hard furnishings of each academy are mainly classical garden architecture and antique tables and chairs, creating a back-to-basics atmosphere. The academy's buildings are staggered and hidden among the mountains, rivers, and lotus ponds, harmoniously blending with the natural landscape. The academy also features elements such as pavilions, green lakes, carved wooden chairs, and ancient books, creating an ancient charm that makes people feel as if they have traveled back to the academies where ancient scholars gathered. For those who don't like taking photos, CNY 60 may be a bit expensive, and you can leave in less than half an hour if you just want to walk around. For those who love taking photos, this place is simply beautiful. I spent nearly two hours in this small place before I came out. If you have enough time and want to take night photos, you can enter the park at four or five in the afternoon and take night photos as well.
