Hakka Cultural Site - Ganping Ancient Town.

Ganping Ancient Town is located in Longgang District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. It originated in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and is one of the ten largest Hakka ancient villages in Shenzhen. It was once a gathering place for Hakka people. There is a Zhuangyuan Mansion built during the Yongzheng period; watchtowers, turrets, and stilted houses are integrated into the mountains and rivers, forming a unique Hakka culture with hundreds of years of Hakka row houses. For me, who has visited many ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, Ganping Ancient Town also has small bridges, rivers, and houses, but it has a very different style from the ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, reflecting the huge cultural differences. The town is free, with shops and restaurants converted from houses, where you can stroll around and taste local snacks. 🌈🌈In the north of the ancient town, there is the Twenty-Four Histories Academy, built around the "Twenty-Four Histories".
