The most beautiful sunset trail in Shenzhen is at Yangtai Mountain

People occasionally get unexpected surprises! Take a taxi from Shangwu Metro Station Exit C1 to Yangtai Mountain Forest Park (Shiyan Entrance). Upon arriving at Shiyan Square, take the steps on the right side of the archway, pass a section of dirt road (p18) to quickly climb the mountain. Without resting, it takes about an hour to reach the top of Yangtai Mountain (I forgot the exact path, but people around said it's the fastest). We started climbing at 3 PM, taking breaks along the way, stopping at pavilions to enjoy the breeze and take photos. It was really hot and sunny! It took us 2 hours to reach the top at a leisurely pace. We reached the top of Yangtai Mountain at 5 PM, and the sky was still blue. We sat in the rest pavilion until 6 PM, then went to watch the sunset. We also took some amazing photos on the cliff, thanks to a passerby who helped us! Before the sun completely set, we started descending at 6:30 PM from the steep slope on the west side (p5). The scenery along the way was beautiful! Watching the sky turn orange, red, and pink, and the leaves on the road glistening in golden light, it felt incredibly beautiful. However, the latter part of this path is really torturous with uneven stone slabs (p14) that are hard on the feet! The gaps are wide, so be careful not to twist your ankle! But it was too late, and this was the only way down to Fengmen'ao. Next time, I'll avoid this path! The total tour duration was 4.5 hours, with 2 hours of actual hiking. I'm not very good at hiking but I love it. This time, I broke in my new shoes. They are Salomon waterproof high-top hiking boots in beige and ebony color, QUEST.
