I recommend a hidden gem of a park that's spacious, beautiful, and not crowded, Songgang Wuzhipa Park. The park spans over 5800 acres, surrounded by mountains, featuring a large reservoir, professional football and basketball courts, a children's playground, a glass walkway, ancient-style buildings, lakes and mountains, small bridges over flowing water, pavilions, towers, the chirping of birds and fragrance of flowers, making it an ideal place for weekend outings with family and friends. The park has several entrances, each leading to different scenery, and it's so vast that you can't finish exploring it in one day. If you're taking kids, you might want to visit multiple times. 1. Camping Lawn Enter from the east gate, and next to the greenway, there's a huge lawn where many people set up tents, a popular camping area. 2. Rose Garden There's a lake here, surrounded by ancient buildings, pavilions, and viewing galleries, as well as many varieties of roses. The blooming of the roses in spring is a major attraction, accompanied by flower shows. 3. Kuwei Wetland Located at the southern end of the Wuzhipa Reservoir, the wetland features winding boardwalks and over-water viewing platforms. Nearby, there's a vast sea of verbena flowers, with July and August being the peak blooming season. 4. Lingnan Courtyard This area resembles the gardens of Suzhou, with winding bridges and transparent pavilions, a typical Lingnan-style ancient building complex with a rich ancient atmosphere, the park's most beautiful scenery. 5. Songyun Tower Standing on the mountaintop square, it consists of two three-story pavilions joined together, offering a view of the lake, mountains, and the whole of Songgang. 6. Glass Walkway Not very high or long, it's perfect for an experience with children. 7. Lakeside Greenway, Mountain Trails, Aerial Bridges Countless paths, winding and fitting for sports and exercise. Walking Route: You can get off at Dongfang Road or Jiangshi Road, follow Genyu Road towards Wuzhipa Reservoir, and enter through the East Gate Square. From the East Gate, you can visit the Dragon Viewing Platform, Rose Garden, Kuwei Wetland, Lingnan Courtyard, Lingnan Library, Lingnan Academy, Glass Walkway, Elevated Corridor, Lake Viewing Corridor, Dragon Boat Base, Sunshine Grass Slope, Kite Square, Songyun Tower, Multi-functional Sports Field, Children's Entertainment Area, and finally exit through the park's north gate.
