Speaking of the seaside promenade, there are many in Guangdong Province, but today I'm talking about the one in Yantian District, Shenzhen. It stretches for 19.5 kilometers. Starting from the ancient tower park at Chung Ying Street in the west, it follows the golden coastline, connecting Shatoujiao, Yantian Port, Dameisha, and ends at Back Corner in the east. It is said that it was once destroyed by a typhoon, but it has been repaired now, yet I still can't find anything novel about it. Moreover, the sea here is not blue, but dark and shiny with dirt, and there is no sea breeze blowing. Is this still the sea? There are few ships on the sea, a few coast guard boats are docked at the shore, and the container terminal is clearly visible. The opposite island is green, but no trace of human habitation can be seen on the peninsula. What's even more speechless is that the once CITIC Minsk aircraft carrier is no longer in sight, making the trip in vain. It seems that the aircraft carrier has probably gone there for maintenance again at a loss... This promenade is actually claimed to be one of the most beautiful walking routes in Shenzhen! I don't think so. Although I only walked the Yantian section~ Of course, it might be different when the lights are on at night. Architectural Features The reconstruction project of the Yantian District seaside promenade is estimated to have a total investment of about 350 million yuan. The project mainly uses pile foundation structures, which fundamentally enhances the wind and wave resistance of the entire promenade, capable of withstanding typhoons of level 15 or above. The reconstruction project of the seaside promenade adheres to the principles of 'protecting the ecology, unifying coordination, and full-line penetration', mainly including the repair and reconstruction of the promenade (along the port section, seafood street section, Dameisha section, Xiaomeisha section, and Back Corner section) and the landscape enhancement of the entire greenway. Among them, the seafood street section, Dameisha section, and Xiaomeisha section are the overall reconstruction sections, with a length of 2803 meters, and the Back Corner section is the repair section, with a length of 1953 meters. After the upgrade and renovation, the seaside promenade is equipped with night lights throughout, with more than 2100 LED photocontrol lights installed in the Dameisha and Xiaomeisha sections, which can maintain lighting for one night even in the rain, and can maintain lighting for 6 hours during continuous rainy days. These solar panels are mainly installed on the railings of the promenade, automatically turning on and off from 7:30 pm to 6 am every night. At the intersection of the seaside promenade and Yantian Greenway, there are also 3 large stations built, providing basic services such as drinking water, charging, and rest for citizens and tourists. Each station also has an automatic reading library with an area of no less than 80 square meters. The eastern end of the Yantian seaside promenade is Back Corner. When planning the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in the 1980s, Back Corner was the easternmost starting point, so it was called 'the end of Shenzhen'. But there is a cemetery there, not recommended to visit and unattended. Many tourists say that place is very eerie and gloomy, but there is a red lighthouse that attracts people... Also, although the beach there is dirty and not easy to find the entrance, the seawater is said to be very good and blue. If interested, you can go take a look...
