Climbing Phoenix Mountain, one of Shenzhen's Top Ten Peaks

With the intention of checking off all of Shenzhen's top ten peaks, on the afternoon of March 23rd, a Saturday, I drove to the foot of Phoenix Mountain after lunch in Fuyong and parked my car in the parking lot before setting off on foot up the mountain. The parking lot is right next to the trailhead, which is very convenient for parking, and there were plenty of spots. The sun was still quite strong that day, so I made sure to park in the shade of a tree. The hiking route for the day was as follows: Parking lot - Trailhead - Along the mountain road - Fengtan Ancient Temple (with an observation deck for a bird's-eye view of the distant Fuyong and Shajing areas) - Feiyun Peak - Wangyan Tower - (Down the mountain via the mountain road and stream trail) - Parking lot Wangyan Tower is the highest peak of Phoenix Mountain, with an altitude of 376 meters, where you can check in with the Shenzhen Top Ten Peaks mini-program. Feiyun Peak is the starting point of the Phoenix Path and Kunpeng Path in Shenzhen's hiking trails (one goes north through Guangming to the Shenzhen-Dongguan border, and the other goes south through Nanshan, Futian, Luohu all the way to Yantian and Dapeng). I walked from Feiyun Peak to Wangyan Tower, passing through 3 markers of the Kunpeng Path from YK000 to YK002. Originally, I wanted to complete the entire section of the Kunpeng Path extending to Jiwei International that day, but the trail east of the restroom at Wangyan Tower had turned into a wild path through the bushes. As it was approaching evening, I decided not to continue forward and instead chose to descend the mountain and return to the Phoenix Mountain parking lot to end my journey.
