Stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhen Bao'an

🏨Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhen Bao'an For our three-day trip to Shenzhen, my husband chose this hotel located in the Bao'an Central District. The transportation is quite convenient; it's about a 3-minute bike ride from the Lingzhi subway station (the shared bikes in Shenzhen are great to ride, with new bikes in abundance, and there's no need to look for a parking spot as the roadside is basically full of them, highly recommended). The bus station is also nearby. Although the room was redeemed with my husband's points, the front desk was considerate enough to give us a 63cm high-level suite. The hotel was renovated in 2022, with new hardware and a modern minimalist style that incorporates elements of industrial vintage. The first thing that catches your eye upon entering the hotel is the lobby bar, which serves as the happy hour area in the evening due to the absence of an executive lounge, with some soft drinks and nuts placed at the edge of the bar. To the far right of the lobby bar, there's a pool table, which is a thoughtful touch for guests to pass the time. Passing through the lobby bar to the check-in counter, the room's decor of natural wood, marble, and leather metal is cleverly integrated, showing that the hotel has put a lot of effort into the renovation, striving to reach a five-star level. Our room, although lacking a view (hence the curtains were never opened, revealing only a rooftop), has quite nice hardware facilities. The water pressure in the shower is strong, with a smart toilet, and the retro blue in the bathroom stands out, making for a pleasant bathing experience. The toiletries are very comprehensive, including not only the basic amenities but also thoughtfully equipped with a disposable bathtub soaking bag and a loofah bath towel. The bathrobe is thin and soft, very comfortable to wear. The mini-bar is fully stocked with tea bags and coffee, and the hotel thoughtfully provides four bottles of soft drinks (cola, Sprite, herbal tea, soda water) in the small fridge for free consumption. The hotel's signature Four Points bed is very comfortable, and the bedding is soft and skin-friendly. After a day of walking, taking a bath and getting a good night's sleep can really revive you (if that's not enough, there's a foot massage shop on the 4th floor of the hotel, which is very convenient). The quality of breakfast is also very good, with a full range of Chinese and Western dishes, freshly made noodles, and characteristic Cantonese steamed dim sum, rice rolls, steamed chicken feet, etc., which are very satisfying. Overall, aside from the lack of an executive lounge, its hardware and software are on par with an ordinary five-star hotel.
