How to get the best value for your money at Shenyang's largest hot spring resort

Qinghe Peninsula 🏖 is Shenyang's largest bathhouse and hot spring resort. It's also the best choice for entertaining out-of-town guests. Qinghe Peninsula is not far from the city center, located at No. 20 Punan Road, Shenbei New District. It covers a large area and offers a wide range of services, including bathing, water play, hot springs, hotel accommodations, and dining. Summer is the peak season, but winter is still very popular. How can you have the most fun for the least amount of money💵? Let me share my personal experience. 🏨About Accommodation I booked a twin room on Trip.com for a little over CNY600. This room offers great value for money. Twin rooms are slightly cheaper than double rooms, but the beds🛏 are huge, equivalent to two double beds in a regular hotel. I didn't book a room with a private hot spring because we spent the day soaking in the water park, so there was no need to go back to the room to soak, or even to take a shower. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and had excellent soundproofing. The room comes with breakfast🥪 for two, which is on par with a star-rated hotel. Most importantly, the room includes two-day access to the water park and hot springs. You can check in at 12:00 PM on the day of arrival, but you can't access the room until after 3:00 PM. You can go directly to the water park🏝 to play during this time and return to your room in the evening. The rooms are located directly above the water park in the main building, easily accessible by elevator. After breakfast on the second day, you can still swipe your ID card to access the water park for another day of fun after checking out. Hotel guests can also park their cars in the hotel's underground parking lot🅿️ free of charge. ⛲️About the Water Park The Qinghe Peninsula Water Park is huge and offers a wide variety of activities, both indoors and outdoors. There's a swimming pool, lazy river, fish spa, and an outdoor infinity pool. Hotel guests receive a complimentary fish spa treatment🐟 for two in a separate pool. The 30-minute experience of small fish nibbling at your legs is quite interesting. As for the hot springs, there are outdoor pools of varying temperatures. Soaking in a hot spring🛀 surrounded by snow in winter is a unique experience. This year, Qinghe Peninsula also set up a large pot outdoors where you can take photos that look like you're being cooked in a giant pot. This year, they also added outdoor skiing🏄‍♂️ and other activities, offering a combination of hot and cold experiences. Indoors, there are various sauna rooms, a fire dragon bath, and a relaxation hall. It's very relaxing to steam yourself🧘‍♂️ after soaking in the hot springs. There's also a children's playground and an arcade, making it a fun place for families with kids. 🍤About Dining This year, Qinghe Peninsula Hotel has brought back its buffet🍣 for lunch and dinner. Light meals🍱 are also available at other times. You can choose what to eat based on your preferences and schedule. We had the dinner buffet, which cost CNY169 per person, a reasonable price. Seafood options included salmon, one crab per person, shrimp, and shellfish🦪, mostly pre-cooked and quite salty. Other dishes were also available. There's a 2-hour time limit. Breakfast the next day was at the Breeze Restaurant. You can walk there or take the shuttle bus. The Breeze Restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, similar to a five-star hotel restaurant. The breakfast selection is quite extensive🍳, and you can definitely eat your fill here. 🛎About Service A concierge🙋‍♀️ will add you on WeChat after you check in to inform you of important details. They will also guide you around the resort and are very helpful. You can ask them any questions you may have. 📌TIPS:❗️Swipe your wristband to change clothes when you enter. You'll be given a towel and a set of clothes. If they get wet while you're playing, you can exchange them for dry ones. ❗️Be sure to queue up before the dinner buffet opens, otherwise, you may not get a seat if there are many people. If there are no seats available, you'll have to dine in the hot pot area for an additional CNY10 per person. ‼️Important notice: Qinghe Peninsula will be closed for maintenance from March 9th. It will reopen on April 1st. We believe that Qinghe Peninsula will offer an even better experience after April 1st.
