One-day tour of Qingquan Scenic Area

#2月好地方2025 In addition to walking along the Qingquan Trail, people in the Qingquan Scenic Area in Wufeng Township, Hsinchu usually visit two celebrities, Zhang Xueliang and Sanmao Dream House (Sanmao's former residence). We visited Zhang Xueliang's former residence, where we could soak in the General's Soup (a free hot spring foot bath) under the warm winter sun, which was very comfortable. We could also go inside and take a detailed look at the historical sites and objects of Zhang Xueliang on display. After visiting Zhang Xueliang’s former residence, you can go up the slope and visit Sanmao’s former residence where she stayed for three years. Sanmao came here from 1984 to 1987 to assist Father Ding Songqing in translating the book "Qingquan Story", but she also fell in love with the dreamlike beauty of the valley here, which brought a lot of relief to her heart that was suffering from health and emotional torment. The clear spring represents different feelings for the two celebrities; for Zhang Shaoshuai it may be a deep mountain of shackles, but for the writer Sanmao it is a place of spiritual liberation!
