Shenyang Forest Zoo is the only comprehensive state-owned zoo in Shenyang that exhibits a variety of rare wild animals. It is an AAAA-level scenic spot that integrates animal protection, popular science education, popular science research, tourism and leisure; it is a popular science education base for young people in Liaoning Province and Shenyang City; and it is the largest artificial breeding research base for red-crowned cranes in the country.
