This building has been used as a car dealership and a department store. In the 1970s, it was also the Shenyang Children's Bookstore. Before the establishment of Goethe Bookstore, it was the location of Xinhua Bookstore. Later, under the planning of the famous publisher, bookstore culture planning expert, and bookstore space designer Mr. Sanshi, it became the current Goethe Bookstore, which has been open since June 15, 2016.
