Utoru Onsen is located on the west side of the Shiretoko Peninsula in Hokkaido, facing the Sea of Okhotsk. This hot spring area is famous for its beautiful sunset views, especially the magnificent sight of the sun setting over the sea that can be enjoyed from the hot springs.
