Shaoxing Shangyu Marriott

During the May 1st holiday, I checked into 2 newly opened Marriott hotels, both of which had good online reviews. Moreover, the cities they are located in are not popular tourist destinations, so the prices during the holiday were friendly. Let me share an evaluation and talk about the experience. It's known as the 'ceiling' of Marriott hotels in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, and it truly lives up to its reputation! Top-notch hardware facilities and software services. It's worth experiencing, especially with the points incentive for the room: thanks to the enthusiastic service of the front desk staff who checked us in, we were upgraded to an executive floor room of 61 square meters with a corner view. The double-sided floor-to-ceiling windows offered an incredibly open view, and the bathroom was equally spacious and comfortable. This new hotel had almost no off-gassing, making it very comfortable. The soundproofing was not great; we were disturbed by the loud TV from the guests upstairs in the middle of the night. Service: Whether it was the front desk reception, the lobby elevator hall, or the room service staff, they all displayed a high level of professional competence and a warm and friendly service attitude. Here, we felt the warmth of being respected. Scenery: The surrounding facilities are average, and it's far from the city's attractions, suitable for those who drive. Facilities: There is a swimming pool, but unfortunately, there is no children's playground, and the terrace was not open. Breakfast: Five-star standard, quite good. Surprisingly, the vegetable mushy noodles and pickled vegetable rice cakes were delicious, and my child also loved them. It's hard to understand why the milk used by the Marriott is so bland, and the porridge is also very thin. It's surprising that the restaurant did not provide straws. There was a long queue for breakfast, even longer than at some Sanya resort hotels, but fortunately, there were waiters to lead us to our seats. Pujiang Sheraton: p8-p11 Room: 40 square meters+ mountain view room, try to stay on the village view side to avoid the noise from the main road. Due to high occupancy, we didn't get to experience the terrace room or suite, and the new hotel had a noticeable renovation smell. The Sealy mattress was comfortable, and there were latex pillows available, which made for a good night's sleep. Service: The front desk reception for Marriott elite members was professional and friendly. However, some of the female staff were stiff and indifferent. Scenery: The large bed faced the window, offering a panoramic view of the rural mountain scenery. Facilities: The children's playground was a highlight! Ocean balls, slides, sand digging, and a variety of other activities, all with new and innovative facilities, kept the kids extremely happy! There was also a swimming pool. Breakfast: Five-star standard, average taste, liked the rich toppings for the soup noodles (tomato scrambled eggs, pickled vegetable pork shreds, potato beef brisket) and had them for 2 days. The quality of corn and fruit was excellent. Both Sheraton and Marriott used the same bland-tasting milk. Overall, Marriott's standardization is well done, and new openings are generally reliable. I'm quite satisfied with both hotels, and the minor flaws do not overshadow the overall experience. Plus, there are indeed a variety of activities for Marriott members, and higher-level members will have a better experience, which makes me want to join the ranks of Marriott loyalists
