Shaoxing Prefecture Mountain Park | A commanding view of Shaoxing's feng shui treasure

Prefecture Mountain, also known as Dragon Mountain or Sleeping Dragon Mountain, is located to the west of Shaoxing city. During the Spring and Autumn period, it was the capital of the State of Yue, and later, due to the old Shaoxing Prefecture government office being located at the eastern foot of the mountain, it was renamed Prefecture Mountain. Visiting Prefecture Mountain Park, one can enjoy not only the scenery but also the historical sites. According to records, during the peak of the Song Dynasty, there were seventy pavilions, terraces, and towers on the mountain. Existing cultural relics and scenic spots include more than ten sites such as the King of Yue's Platform, Ancient Cypress of the Southern Song Dynasty, Qingbai Spring, King of Yue's Hall, Cliff Carvings, Feiyi Building, and Fengyu Pavilion. Ascending the Feiyi Building, one can overlook the cityscape of Shaoxing. The park is lush with trees, and the stairways and paths meander through the forest.
