Shanwei: Three Days and Two Nights, CNY500 per Person, Chill Edition

We departed on a working day (during the off-season) and drove ourselves. Accommodation: Two nights at a Jintang Bay seaside homestay, CNY130 per person. The "Windmill Chapel" is downstairs from the homestay. We took photos there in 20 minutes, then spent the afternoon drinking coffee and chatting with friends by the sea. As the sun began to set, we strolled along the coastline by the chapel, watching the sunset and wading in the water. The sunset and the rosy clouds made for great photos. As we walked, we saw people lining up to take pictures by a stone wall. The Castle Coffee shop is huge, and every corner is Instagrammable, so there's no need to wait for a specific spot. Comfort is key! The Sunset Surf Shop (near Castle Coffee; I brought two sets of clothes for these two locations) is also very relaxing. I loved the West Coast vibe at Sunset Surf Shop. I spent the whole afternoon there, lost in thought, and didn't want to leave until the sunset faded. It was so relaxing. Itinerary: Day 1: Jintang Bay - Homestay - Takeout - Windmill Chapel - Sunset stroll along the Jintang Bay coastline - Erma Road Food Street in the evening Day 2: Sleep in - Youyi Restaurant - Honghai Bay Castle Coffee - Sunset Surf Shop - Erma Road Food Street - Shuishanfang Foot Massage - Homestay Day 3: Sleep in - Youyi Restaurant - Depart for Rongcheng, Jieyang - Eat, drink, and wander around Rongcheng (We spent two and a half days in Shanwei, then headed to Jieyang - it was an unexpected trip). Day 4: Jieyang - Jieyang Xuegong.... (Finally returned to Shanwei and had beef hot pot at Erma Road Food Street / Shanzhongbaiwei Fruit Juice Ice (a long-standing favorite). Delicious food and drinks! Return trip Food: The fruit juice ice in Shanwei is delicious; you must try it! (My favorite is Shanzhongbaiwei Fruit Juice Ice. A large cup for CNY10 is so refreshing! Freshly squeezed fruit juice ice in various combinations is amazing. I can't replicate the taste at home. I miss it so much!) I highly recommend Youyi Restaurant. Two of us girls ate a lot and it only cost CNY86. Everything was delicious! It's a restaurant frequented by locals! They serve dim sum until 2pm! I ate everything at Erma Road Food Street. I think everything there is delicious, haha (so I won't make any specific recommendations). It's a great place to stroll and eat. For Jieyang Rongcheng, you can refer to the Jieyang Rongcheng travel guide (I personally prefer Shanwei). Shanwei is quite large. I chose the places I wanted to visit and explored them at a leisurely pace. I find this more relaxing. After all, I think travel is about relaxing and healing yourself while taking photos and checking in at different locations. The last photo is from the evening at the surf shop. We walked along the coastline and passed through a village where we saw Chaoshan people performing Chaozhou Opera. I was so happy! I haven't seen that in a long time. By the way, I'm Chaoshan, hahaha, so I get extra excited when I see these things.
