Shanwei 3-Day 2-Night Travel Guide

Traveling with a group, we rented a car on the second day, and took taxis the rest of the time. We ate at places recommended by local friends, which were pretty good. You can use this as a reference. 1️⃣ Day 1 Morning • Arrive at Shanwei Railway Station at 11:30 am, then take a taxi to a restaurant near the station for lunch. The ride takes about 10 mins and costs about CNY 12. Old Taste Beef Brisket Hot Pot (Pinqing 3rd Road Branch) 200 m from the intersection of Pinqing Avenue and Pinqing 3rd Road Afternoon • After lunch, take a taxi to Jinting Bay (we chose to stay in a villa by the sea for easy access to the beach). The ride takes about 25 mins. After arriving, take a short break. • At around 3 pm, leave the villa and walk to the beach to watch the sunset. Jinting Bay Wedding Chapel, Whale Bay Town Amusement Park Evening • After watching the sunset, take a taxi to Yuxing Restaurant for a seafood dinner. Yuxing Restaurant (No. 260, Damalu, Chengqu) • After dinner, head to Erma Road for some snacks. Here are some snack recommendations: No. 368, Erma Road, Chengqu, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, near Shanzhong Road, Thin Pancakes (Cabbage Thin Pancakes) This thin pancake shop is popular among Cantonese people, and everyone speaks Cantonese here, haha. No. 338, Basement 2, Commercial Building, Erma Road, Chengqu, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, Baomu Rice Noodles Hao Yun Pickled Food, Cup Cup Fresh (various fruits + Yakult) Tsingtao Beer (sea salt lychee flavor is delicious 👍) After buying snacks, take a taxi back to the villa to rest. 2️⃣ Day 2 • Rent a car for a trip to Red Bay! Depart at 10 am, head to Windmill Island Shallow Water Bay at 11 am ➡️ Arrive at Furi Bay at 11:30 am, have coffee at LOOKINGLOAT ➡️ Arrive at Furi at 12 pm ➡️ Arrive at the Sea Highway at 12:30 pm ➡️ Arrive at Hou'ao Glass Sea at 1 pm ➡️ Arrive at Shuiguiliao Market Snack Street at 1:30 pm ➡️ Arrive at the Sea Castle at 3:30 pm ➡️ Arrive at the Sea Guanyin at 4 pm ➡️ Arrive at Zhelang Wonder Area at 4:30 pm ➡️ Arrive at the seaside road to watch the sunset at 5:30 pm ➡️ Arrive at Erma Road for seafood porridge at 6:30 pm, then stroll along Erma Road for snacks, drinks (Cup Cup Fresh), and fruits ➡️ Return to the villa to rest at 7:40 pm (the villa has karaoke, arcade games, billiards, board games, and alcohol). I sang karaoke for 4 hours by myself, haha. 3️⃣ Day 3 Morning • We originally planned to go to Tongding Mountain, but later changed to a walk along the beach near Jinting Bay. We rented a bike and rode along the beach, which was very relaxing! That's right, we went to Cup Cup Fresh again, haha. Noon • Take a taxi to Gangji Food Stall for our last seafood feast in Shanwei. Gangji Food Stall (No. 126, Erma Road, Chengqu) After eating, we bought some local specialties nearby. • Take a taxi to the railway station at around 2 pm, and return at around 4 pm. ☁️ Weather The temperature at the beach in January is over 20°C. The first day was sunny, so it was warm. The second day was spent at the beach, and the sea breeze was strong, so I recommend wearing a jacket and pants. I wore a dress and was freezing, haha (I was willing to suffer for the photos!)
