Nanyang Old Dream · A Date with the Former Residence of Chen Cihong

By chance, I discovered the former residence of Chen Cihong, which is truly a dream home for someone like me who loves Nanyang style. I specially flew there to experience the life of a "Republic of China heiress." 😌 Although it has stood for hundreds of years, it still cannot hide its beauty. There are many corners perfect for photography, and the clothing suits qipao and traditional Chinese styles even better. 🌸🧱 The imported floral tiles and glazed tiles from back then remain as vibrant as new despite the wind and rain. There are dozens of styles, making it a museum of imported building materials. The wooden carvings of flowers, birds, and auspicious creatures on the beams, the stone-carved lace on the eaves and walls, and the glazed tile inlays with different patterns around the doors and windows are all exquisitely detailed. Every detail is beautiful, and every corner is worth seeing. It is truly a century-old luxury that never fades.
