It boasts rich historical and cultural significance as well as a beautiful natural environment. The battery is a circular fortress structure surrounded by a moat that is over 20 meters wide and 3 meters deep. Visitors must cross an arched bridge to reach the battery. Situated in the southeastern corner of old Shantou, this circular fortress was a key coastal defense structure in the Guangdong region during the Qing Dynasty.
