High mountains and flowing water, like a fierce beast

Tiger Leaping Gorge is flanked by Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain. The Jinsha River is blocked by these two high mountains here, and after entering the gorge, the river is only more than 50 meters wide. Tigers and leopards can leap across it in one jump, hence the name Tiger Leaping Gorge. The Tiger Leaping Gorge scenic area is divided into three sections: Upper Tiger Leaping, Middle Tiger Leaping, and Lower Tiger Leaping. Upper Tiger Leaping is the narrowest part of the entire gorge and also the most spectacular part of Tiger Leaping Gorge, with the river only about 20 meters wide. The Tiger Leaping Stone, which stands majestically in the middle of the river, splits the river into two, making the water even more turbulent. It is well worth a visit.
