The Tiger Leaping Gorge high trail spans 25 kilometers and is a global classic, a must-hike series in one's lifetime

The Tiger Leaping Gorge, alongside the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon in Tibet and the Grand Canyon in the United States, is considered one of the 'world-class canyons'. It is acclaimed as 'one of the top ten most beautiful canyons in China' and 'one of the deepest canyons in the world'. The gorge is divided into three sections: the Upper, Middle, and Lower Tiger Leaping Gorge. Constrained by the high mountains on both sides, the river narrows to just over 50 meters wide after entering the gorge, with the narrowest point being so slim that a tiger or leopard could leap across, hence the name Tiger Leaping Gorge. Hiking the high trail of Tiger Leaping Gorge has been rated as one of the 'top ten classic hiking trails in the world'. As early as the 1980s and 1990s, this trail attracted numerous overseas hikers, and its fame has long been known internationally. It is also an essential item on the checklist for outdoor backpackers both in China and abroad that should not be missed.
