Tiger Leaping Gorge Hike!

Starting our trip in Lijiang, Yunnan, and ending at Tina’ house is a popular choice for many hikers. #mytripvlog The timing of our hike during the Dragon Boat Festival and rainy season could have been challenging, but we were fortunate to only encounter light rain on the first day. This made the trail less muddy and more comfortable than expected, which is always a bonus when hiking. One of the advantages of hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge is the presence of vendors along the trail. They offer opportunities to recharge and refuel, particularly before tackling the famous 28 bends. The availability of signals and arrows throughout the trail makes navigation easy, ensuring that hikers don't get lost. Additionally, the locals with horses provide further assistance for those who may require help ascending the trail. This is beneficial for those who want to conserve their energy or have physical limitations. Choosing to stay overnight at the Horse Tea Hotel, a few kilometers before the Halfway House, was a wise decision. It allowed us to have a more relaxed and easier start for the following day's hike, ensuring that we had energy to continue our journey. Overall, we had a wonderful experience hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge. It's a stunning natural wonder with breathtaking views!
