There is a saying: Green water and green mountains are as valuable as gold and silver. I think it must be referring to Hanliang Park.

Hanliang culture is an indelible page in the historical and cultural development of Shangqiu. In ancient times, Shangqiu was the capital of the Liang State in the Western Han Dynasty. Today, the tombs of the King of Liang of the Han Dynasty are still preserved in Mangdang Mountain in Yongcheng. Bronzes, Terracotta Warriors, Jade Clothes with Gold Threads...many cultural relics have become carriers of historical and cultural research. Hanliang Cultural Park is a rare park with historical characteristics in Shangqiu. Although the rockery, lake and retro-style buildings in the garden are all artificial landscapes, the combination of bluestone and green water with the ink-and-wash houses does give people the illusion of traveling back to the Han and Liang dynasties. The two sides of the lake are slopes paved with pebbles. The water is not deep and the bottom is clear. Near the lake, there are many antique-style buildings and pavilions, each with different features. Walking along the lakeside, you can look up and see a few stones dotted in the lake, and a wooden pier extending to a position near the center of the lake. It is exactly the artistic conception of an ancient poem, except for the child standing on the bridge. In addition to the pier, the park also has a stone arch bridge that took time and effort to design and was extremely difficult to construct. This scene is somewhat similar to the stone arch bridge in the Qingming Shanghe Park. The most prominent pavilion in the garden looks like a mini version of Yueyang Tower. However, when you look up, what appears in your sight is not Dongting Lake, but lush flowers and plants and scattered stones. Downstairs, a winding path leads to this stone square and to the nearby pavilions and corridors. You and your baby can rest and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Although it is an imitation of antique buildings, it has an elegant shape, a spacious space, a lake with reeds, and dotted with wild geese and ducks. I felt it was quite nice to take a walk around it on a sunny day after the snow.
