Hidden in Shanghai, this Guizhou-style hot pot with a griddle is a vibe!

My first try of Guizhou cuisine at this "Yunshang Guizhou" hot pot spot instantly won me over! The decor is full of Guizhou charm—indigo-dyed fabrics, red lanterns, and a big screen showcasing Guizhou scenery, creating an immersive atmosphere that makes you feel like you've teleported to Guizhou! We ordered the signature bean soup base, which was incredibly fragrant and made everything taste amazing. The Guizhou-style cured pork was savory and chewy, the fresh-cut yellow beef was tender and juicy, and the handmade pork meatballs were springy and hearty—every bite was pure satisfaction! The sides were also outstanding—the aged tofu soaked up the broth perfectly, the highland potato slices were soft and sweet, and paired with the signature Guizhou dipping sauce, tangy and spicy, it was the soul of the meal! We ended with water chestnut pearl ice tofu pudding, refreshing and sweet—the perfect finish! The service was a big plus too—the staff proactively adjusted the heat and responded quickly. The prices were wallet-friendly, and with vouchers, it only cost a few dozen per person for a super satisfying meal—amazing value! This experience made me fall in love with Guizhou cuisine, and I'm already planning my next visit to unlock more hidden menu items!
