Staycation in Shanghai! Almost got lost in this French château!

🤣 Spending a weekend in Shanghai, finding a hotel away from downtown to relax is quite a nice staycation! It's a new vacation style for young people hahaha... This time I chose Shanghai Hongqiao Xinhua Jin Jiang Sofitel Hotel 🏨 It's close to Hongqiao Airport and high-speed rail station, but that's not the main point. The highlight is they have shuttle buses to Shanghai Panlong Tiandi 🚌 (of course they also have shuttles to the airport). You need to book seats at the front desk in advance ✅ I'd heard about Panlong Tiandi, this beautiful commercial area that's great for photos, but always thought it was too far away so I never went. Now staying at a hotel nearby, I could explore it at a leisurely pace 😍📷 - I'm quite lazy 🤣 so I had most of my meals at the hotel. Both the buffet restaurant and Chinese restaurant are high quality. Walking out from the buffet restaurant, there's a courtyard with a waterfall backdrop, plus the French architecture - it's absolutely gorgeous... Sitting in the courtyard at night, enjoying the breeze and having a drink was truly comfortable 😌 If you're too lazy to go downstairs for food after playing around, you can order room service or have a delivery robot bring food to your door 🥡 Relaxing time is so sweet ❤️ - Had a French afternoon tea at the hotel lobby bar 🍰 The decor there is still high-end, elegant French style 🇫🇷 The pastries look amazing too ✅ Drinking some Pu'er tea, eating small cakes and macarons 😋 In such an environment, even taking out my laptop to work a bit is enjoyable hahahahaha... I'm really falling more in love with weekend staycations ❤️ - The king bed in the room was soft and comfortable 😌 Pull the blackout curtains and it's night time, making it pleasant to sleep at any hour 💤 When there aren't any exhibitions nearby, the hotel prices are lower, so I recommend traveling during off-peak times if you don't have business needs 🤣
