1933 Laochangfang

It used to be the Shanghai Municipal Council Slaughterhouse and was the largest slaughterhouse in Shanghai at that time. A famous British designer was hired to design and build it. The overall style is that of an ancient Roman basilica, but it also incorporates elements of traditional Chinese architectural feng shui. There are many corridors and spiral staircases on the building, which makes you feel like you are walking in a maze.
