Shanghai Travel Review | Night View Spots I recently traveled to Shanghai, China. My original travel style is more urban than natural, and Shanghai was a city that really suited my tastes. The night view was especially overwhelming. In this post, I will organize the main attractions in Shanghai that I visited, the atmosphere I felt there, and my personal reviews. 1. Oriental Pearl Tower When you think of Shanghai, the first place that comes to mind is the Oriental Pearl Tower. It is beautiful during the day, but the Oriental Pearl Tower at night is truly a work of art. Thanks to the colorful lights, you can look at it without getting tired of it. When I went, it was mainly purple, blue, and pink lights, and it matched Shanghai’s futuristic atmosphere very well. I also went up to the observation deck, and there was a section with a glass floor, so it was a little dizzying. You know that scary but fun feeling? The view of the entire city of Shanghai at a glance, and the Huangpu River and the Bund is something I will remember for the rest of my life. ⸻ 2. Pudong Financial District (Lujiazui) Located not far from the Oriental Pearl Tower, Pudong Financial District. This is a place that truly fits the description of a ‘future city’. Shanghai Tower, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) are all gathered here. Each building shows a gorgeous video with LEDs, and it feels like you’re in a big screen city. In particular, the red light lines flowing through Shanghai Tower were so intense that they caught my eye. The night view before my eyes was so overwhelming that I sat by the river and stared blankly for a long time. ⸻ 3. The Bund And the Bund Street across the river. This place has a completely different atmosphere. Traditional European-style buildings line the street, and when the lights come on, it’s really old-fashioned and beautiful. The futuristic appearance of the forest of buildings and the classic feel of the Bund face each other, and the city of Shanghai itself feels like a city where the past and the present coexist. I took a lot of pictures while walking, and each building has vivid details, so I highly recommend it to those who are interested in architecture. ⸻ 4. Yangpu Bridge I was worried that just seeing the night view in Shanghai would be boring, so I looked for other places, and the place that left the deepest impression on me this time was Yangpu Bridge. I took pictures in black and white on purpose, and the magnificent structure and the cloudy sky strangely matched well, so it felt like a scene from a movie. It was nice to be able to enjoy a different atmosphere by stopping by at least one place like this during a trip focused on the night view. ⸻ 🗺 Overall Review If I were to summarize my trip to Shanghai in one word, I would say it is “the city of light, a place where the future and the past coexist.” • Those who like night views → Definitely recommended • Those who like city trips → Go to Shanghai • Those who like architecture and photography → You will want to go there and take pictures all day long? Through this trip, I fell in love with the charm of the city once again. Next time, I want to see more of the daytime scenery. I hope this helps those of you who are planning a trip to Shanghai. If you have any questions, please leave a comment :)
