[Ancient temples in Shanghai] Relax at the 500-year-old Baoshan Temple

Baoshan Temple is located in the Baoshan district of Shanghai, as its name suggests. It was founded in 1511 and has a history of over 500 years, making it one of the oldest temples in Shanghai. Going through the gate, there is a large site, beyond which is the Heavenly Kings Hall. Inside are the glittering Maitreya Bodhisattva and the Four Heavenly Kings. You might think that this is the main hall, but there is an even larger site behind the building, and surrounding the site are the Great Hero Hall at the front, the Guanyin Hall to the left, and the Yakushi Hall to the right. The most impressive of all is the Great Hero Hall, which houses three golden Buddhas, Shakyamuni Buddha, Manjusri Bodhisattva, and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, as well as statues of Buddha's disciples Kashyapa and Ananda. (Unfortunately, photography of the Buddha statues is not permitted.) Also, to the right of the worship hall is a large garden, with a seven-story pagoda. You can have tea in the garden or take a stroll. Everyone was enjoying the leisurely flow of time. I wonder if this area is different from the Japanese sense?
