Seagull Hotel Shanghai

The Seagull Hotel isn't very large, with about 100 rooms on 15 floors, so the pool and gym are both quite small. The basic rooms are a little over 40 square meters, which isn't very big either. The hotel is located just past the Waibaidu Bridge, next to the Russian Consulate, and a little further on is the North Bund. The hotel is right next to Huangpu River, with Lujiazui directly opposite. The three-piece set is in full view, and the view is excellent. The location is very similar to the Regent in Hong Kong. The rooms on the river side of the hotel all have views of the Huangpu River, Lujiazui, the Bund, and even landmark buildings like the Waibaidu Bridge. The rooms have a small triangular balcony where you can go out and take photos. This time I stayed in an Oriental Pearl View Room with curved floor-to-ceiling windows at the end of the North Bund side. The bathtub faces the Oriental Pearl Tower three-piece set, and the view of the Huangpu River winding from the Bund to Lujiazui and then to the Yangpu Bridge is unobstructed. The room makes clever use of green decorations, which are fresh, bright, and elegant. I personally like it very much. I especially like the green single sofa. Breakfast is served in the Xiu Restaurant on the second floor, which is a combination of buffet and à la carte. The food is very good, and the window seats with a view are very popular. The bar on the fifth floor is also a must-try. It has a large terrace facing the Huangpu River, the Bund, and Lujiazui. It's great to have a drink here when the weather is nice. The gym is too small, and the equipment is relatively simple. The hotel's location is perfect for outdoor runs along the river, so I braved the rain and ran 10 kilometers. Many young ladies come to take photos on the spiral staircase on the first floor.
