Jia Qi Hotel (Shanghai the Bund Nanjing East Road shop) accommodation review, opposite Ji Hotel (The Bund, Shandong Middle Road, Shanghai) For us, we chose this place because - Near the subway - Room size is large compared to other places at the same price - We are not serious about breakfast or lobby area - There are staffs on duty at the entrance to the building all day - Staffs responded to our chat since booking, may be slow but always respond - Housekeeper cleans every day - The room does not smell of cigarettes, found 1 night, someone might have secretly smoked in the corridor - Windows can be opened - Air conditioning is centralized but can be adjusted to heater or normal wind during winter (If the weather is cold, when we went, it was 12 degrees, we used fan mode + opened the window a little, the room was cool, when washing clothes a little or just came back, we would turn on the heater to blow on the sink, which was good, the room was not too hot) Additional advice to help you decide - The room is on the 5th and 6th floor - There is no sitting area in the lobby - There are 2 elevators, 1 of which is hit by wood, we asked and they said it prevents being hit Not sure if there is construction on which floor or not - The common area is carpeted, but not to the point where you sneeze and get dusty or anything like that. - 6th floor, the floor to ceiling is about 2 meters, 5th floor should be 190 cm. You might feel a bit short. **For me, I'm 160 cm, I feel fine. My friend is 170 and said it's not a problem, but if you walk on the corridor, you feel a bit short 🤣** - There is no washing machine, but if you really need it, you can contact the staff. Finally, there are many types of single beds, queen size, the room we stayed in is double king size. We got it for less than 7,000 THB, with a promotion with Trip for 4 nights, check-out at 2:00 PM.
