What places can you visit in Shanghai in two days?|||Today's Topic—Citywalk is an "Extreme" Sport I'm from Zhengzhou. What can I do, eat, and buy during a two-day trip to Shanghai? I'll mainly be sightseeing on Saturday, and I have to return on Sunday afternoon. Transportation: The sleeper train arrives early in the morning, around 6 a.m., and I can take the subway directly to where I want to go. The subway is very convenient, but sometimes it's a long walk from the entrance/exit to the platform. It really is Shanghai! If you're too tired to walk, you can take a taxi and enjoy the city scenery along the way. What to do: Saturday: Since I arrived early, my first stop was the Bund. I took the subway and walked along East Nanjing Road. Many elderly people were exercising in the morning on the Bund. The second stop was the Waibaidu Bridge, where Yi Ping jumped off the bridge in the TV series "Romance in the Rain". The third stop was the Zhapu Road Bridge. The fourth stop was the Shanghai Postal Museum (exterior). The fifth stop was the Shanghai Museum (People's Square) to see the Egyptian cultural relics exhibition. The sixth stop was the Xujiahui Cathedral in Xuhui District. It's open from Tuesday to Saturday, but it closes early sometimes, so you need to check in advance if you want to go. We didn't go inside because there was an event on the 8th. The seventh stop was the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which we took a taxi to. The taxi ride took a long time, and we arrived at around 4 p.m., just in time for the visit. The eighth stop was back to the hotel to freshen up, and then we took a taxi to the Oriental Pearl Tower. It was already evening, so we took some photos and went to the Disney Store to buy some souvenirs. The ninth stop was East Nanjing Road for some shopping. We went to the largest MINISO and saw the spiral staircase at the New World Daimaru Department Store. Finally, we went back to the hotel to rest. It was a proper 20,000-step extreme citywalk day. Sunday: I rode a bicycle to the North Bund Tourist Resort to see the Oriental Pearl Tower from another angle. The scenery was very beautiful, and it was refreshing in the morning. The second stop was back to the hotel, and then we took a taxi to Sinan Mansions, a small area of European-style houses. We also visited the Zhou Enlai's Former Residence, which was a different kind of experience. What to eat: For breakfast at Shanghai Railway Station, I had Xiaoyang Shengjian. It tasted better than the shengjian in Zhengzhou. For lunch, we went to Xian De Lai near the Shanghai Museum at People's Square. We had to queue even though it was past 1 p.m. We ordered spare ribs rice cakes, scallion oil noodles, etc. The taste was a bit sweet, but it was a new experience, so we had to try it. For dinner, we were too tired, so we ordered takeout at the hotel. I don't remember which restaurant it was, but the noodles with toppings were delicious. On Sunday, before returning, we had to eat Dahuchun shengjian. I had it once last year and loved it. The dough was sweet, and the fried buns were filled with lots of ingredients. Souvenirs: I bought some cultural and creative products from the Egyptian exhibition at the Shanghai Museum, small toys from the Disney Store, pastries from Shen Dacheng, shengjian mantou from Dahuchun, scallion pancakes, youdunzi, and butterfly cookies from the International Hotel. After this trip, I didn't expect a weekend could be so fulfilling. Looking forward to the next journey!
