Siji Minfu – A Taste of Peking Duck in Shanghai

#favouriteitinerary Shanghai has Siji Minfu branches, and we chose to visit the one in Beiwaitan District. It was my first time trying Peking duck, and it was really delicious! We ordered a half of roast duck for the three of us to share. The server taught us a few ways to eat Peking Duck. For example, wrapping the duck in a spring roll wrapper with some condiments, or dipping the crispy duck skin in sugar and eating it directly. One of the dishes we tried was grilled lamb with scallions, which was amazing. The pea shoots and lion's head meatball soup were fresh and light, we also first time eat the Chinese Zhajiangmian (noodles with soybean paste) They also served complimentary duck soup, winter jujubes, and pea cake. It was my first time trying winter jujubes, and they were super refreshing! A nice experience!
