ENCHANTED SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND 🤩

Shanghai Disneyland is the first of its kind, despite being the sixth Disney resort globally. For starters, this resort, which debuted in the summer of 2016, is in a league of its own, covering 963 acres, or 11 times the size of the original Disneyland in Anaheim, California, which opened in 1955. What's inside, however, is unique. Mickey Mouse's creators agreed not to merely clone an existing Disneyland, but to develop something with a particular Chinese flavor, effectively giving the Chinese their own version of Disney. Shanghai Disneyland is quite unique compared to other Disneyland theme parks since it just doesn’t showcase the magical place but also boast the beauty of Chinese culture and traditions. My personal favourite among the unique attractions is the ‘Treasure Cove.’ It is a highly designed harbor with a marina for two full-size (but permanently parked) ships that no other Disney park has. Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure is the main attraction here. This high-end ride—a blend of enormous screens, precise boat movement, illusions, gigantic scenery, and more Johnny Depp appearances than you can toss a doubloon at—is completely based on the movies, leaving the old attraction's tale behind. #staycation #themepark #shanghaidisneyland #urbanexplorer #localtravel
