Pompidou Centre Collection: Portraits in Hall 1.

The theme of the third collection exhibition of the five-year exhibition cooperation project between West Bund Art Museum and Pompidou Center is "Reflection of Portrait". The so-called image is a psychological term, which means the subjective reflection of objective things in people's brain. In Hall 1, I was surprised and excited by the artists' portraits that went beyond the concepts of thinking. Standing in front of these self-portraits and portraits that may seem strange, and some of which can even be described as grotesque, I feel more the power of the artists to be true to themselves and to create freely; not to please others, but only to express their passion. As I wander around, I don’t care who created the work. I am more interested in gaining surprise and pleasure from the artists’ divergent thinking.
