Waibaidu Bridge is the first all-steel bridge in China, designed in a Western style and built in 1856. It is located at the mouth of the Suzhou River, near its confluence with the Huangpu River, adjacent to The Bund in the heart of Shanghai. This bridge connects the Huangpu and Hongkou districts. Waibaidu Bridge is one of the symbols of Shanghai. The Shanghai Municipal Government has designated this bridge as an example of architectural heritage and one of Shanghai's prominent structures. Travel: Walk from the front of The Bund, the bridge is located on the north side of The Bund.
