Following the previous note on 'Meeting Monet', there is actually another exhibition at the Meet Museum in Shanghai, which is 'Meeting Bruegel: The Masterpieces of 16th and 17th Century European Painters', with the exhibition dates being 2024.3.30-2024.6.16. Bruegel was a master of the Northern European Renaissance in the 16th century and the first peasant painter in Europe and America. His works often depict vivid rural life, complex social scenes, and allegorical stories. The 'Meeting Bruegel' exhibition features more than 90 works by the Bruegel family and artists influenced by their painting style. It is a rare opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Bruegel family's art. 'Meeting Bruegel' is on the second floor of the museum, displaying over 90 works, divided into seven chapters in chronological order: Bruegel of the Flemish Village, Allegorical Paintings—Stories of Miracles, Bathed in Winter Sunlight, The Dance of the Peasants, Exploring the Mysteries of Nature, Adventures of Travel, Still Life: Splendor and Vanity.
