Look at Baidu's description: Hengshan Road was established in 1922, once named alongside Shanghai's famous Rongle East Road and Nanjing East Road. It was constructed by the French Municipal Council and was known as the famous Avenue Petain in the French Concession. In October 1943, it was renamed Hengshan Road. The entire street is 2.3 kilometers long. Hengshan Road connects to the commercial center Xujiahui in the south and the fashionable shopping street Huaihai Road in the north—it is a quiet and elegant passage between two bustling areas.
