Shanghai | Picasso Art Center in an old foreign-style house

🏮 The Picasso Art Center is located in a century-old foreign-style house near Jing'an Temple, originally named 'Jue Garden', built in 1929. Visiting on a rainy day gives the old house a unique charm in the rain. It's summer vacation, making it a great place to take the kids out. 🪭 The entrance of the art center features three arches and circular columns with a Spanish flair. The wooden floors and stairs of the foreign-style house have a sense of age, creaking as you walk. There's a small terrace on the second floor, which is unfortunately closed on rainy days. The fireplace, carpets, curtains, and red velvet sofas inside the house create a full atmosphere. 🎏 The art center exhibits a joint exhibition of authentic works by Picasso and his son, precious manuscripts never before exhibited in China, and this is their first display in Asia. It includes oil paintings, woodcuts, ink drawings, and sculptures, with nearly a hundred authentic works and signed prints spanning seventy years of different periods of his career.
