The Shanghai Yangtze Hotel was designed by Li Pan, a Belgian architect, and became a popular social spot for socialites when it opened in 1933. It was known as the 'third largest hotel in the Far East'. This modern hotel, designed, built and managed by Chinese people, has attracted many guests with its unique charm and has now become an excellent cultural and historical building. Known as the 'Father of Chinese Pop Music', Li Jinhui, the first Chinese jazz band he formed, performed here. 'Rose, Rose, I Love You' by 'Silver Voice Song Queen' Yao Li, spread all over the world from here. The Yangtze Hotel was renovated again in 2023, combining Art Deco style with Shanghai style, and reopened on January 1, 2024. The windows on both sides of the hotel display suits and cheongsams. We entered through the arched red awning. After passing through the foyer, the noise outside immediately disappeared, replaced by tranquility. The front desk lady skillfully completed the check-in procedures, handed over the room card, and also gave a drink coupon and a special gift coupon. There are many soft drinks and snacks to choose from for the special gift. The waiter also recommended the hotel's representative 'young coffee' and 'neon' special drinks. The colorful dome in the lobby, the bright and passionate red curtains, and the theater elements everywhere, as if in a modern movie plot. The hotel uses a lot of bright colors and decorative patterns, and the rose elements that can be seen everywhere, all reflect the extraordinary significance of the rose to the hotel.
