| Shanghai Postal Museum (1381). Shanghai Postal Museum, formerly the Shanghai General Post Office, is one of the birthplaces of modern Chinese postal service in Shanghai. It is located in the Shanghai General Post Office building on the north side of Sichuan Road Bridge on the Suzhou River in Hongkou District, Shanghai, at 250 North Suzhou Road. The Shanghai Postal Museum is the first provincial postal industry museum in China. The total area of the Shanghai Postal Museum building is 25,294 square meters. The building is U-shaped, with one underground floor and four above-ground floors. The Shanghai Postal Museum consists of a first-floor atrium exhibition area and a second-floor main exhibition area. The first-floor atrium was originally a patio, used for vehicle mail transportation. The second-floor main exhibition hall is divided into four exhibition areas: the origin and development of the postal service, network and technology, business and culture, and stamps and philately. There are currently 211 sets of collections and 25 sets of precious cultural relics. On November 20, 1996, the Shanghai General Post Office was listed in the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units announced by the State Council. On December 2, 2017, the Shanghai General Post Office was selected as the second batch of 20th century Chinese architectural heritage.
