Shanghai is quite interesting. Although there are some Chinese-style ancient hotels, whether it's the more expensive Yangyun Aman or this Guangfulin Prime Minister's Mansion, the ancient houses used are actually moved from Jiangxi. Here, it's worth mentioning that Jiangxi is also one of the birthplaces of Huizhou architecture, and Shangrao is a treasure trove of travel destinations, not only Jingdezhen and Wuyuan. The main body of this hotel is said to be the former residence of Xia Yan, the first assistant of the Ming Dynasty, which is a very heavyweight figure. However, it should not be originally dismantled and built, but only used some wooden components. The exterior has been remodeled and renovated, and overall, the scale is not large, far less than some local ancient hotels in Jiangxi and Anhui, such as Shangrao Yuexi Kaiyuan Guantang. Every night at 5.18, two large drums will be moved out at the gate for a night ceremony, but I didn't have a chance to visit because I went to dinner. After entering the ancient house, there will also be a lady in ancient costume playing the guqin on site. The area of the ancient house is not large, the hotel front desk is in another building, and the guest rooms are also relatively scattered, among the three-story small buildings next to it. This is completely new and relatively modern, and there is no difference from many types of villa hotels. The public area of the hotel is not large, the advantage is that it can directly access the Guangfulin site, separated by a small river. So, if you regard it as a Chinese-style ancient hotel, it is indeed a bit lacking. There are not many places to take pictures. The equipment in the hotel gym is acceptable, but it is underground, and it takes a long time to go from the guest room. It seems that there is no swimming pool, but there is a children's playground. The pet park is next to the back door of the hotel. It is small and charges extra, so I didn't go in to see. As for the Guangfulin site, the place is quite large, but the buildings are all new, lacking the old taste of historical heaviness, but it can be understood in Shanghai.
